Your path to sustainable development

At Haldex, we act responsibly
Pro-ecological initiatives and sustainable development have been the foundation of Haldex S.A.’s activities for many years. From the very beginning, the company has pursued its mission of recovering and reusing raw materials from spoil heaps and post-mining materials.
In this way, we reduce the consumption of natural resources, lower CO₂ emissions, and prevent the creation of new mining waste landfills. Our goal is to develop our business responsibly – with respect for the environment, local communities, and future generations.
DDWe invite companies and institutions that, like us, believe that sustainable development is not just a slogan but an everyday practice, to cooperate with us.
Recovery of raw materials
from spoil heaps
and mining waste
For over 65 years, Haldex has been recovering and processing materials, reducing the need for exploitation of natural deposits.
Zero-waste –
waste-free processing
Materials recovered from spoil heaps are transformed into certified products for reuse.
Own photovoltaic
farm (2 MW)
Located on a reclaimed post-industrial site, it supplies green energy to the grid.
Application of
green technologies
on degraded land
Innovative foundations for PV installations on challenging post-mining soils – a model approach to the development of post-industrial areas.
Repair
instead of disposal
The repair and modernization of mining machines and equipment allow them to be reused for many more years.

Energy from the sun – Haldex PV farms and installations
The Haldex photovoltaic farm covers an area of approx. 2.5 hectares and has an installed capacity of around 2 megawatts.
Electricity is generated from several thousand photovoltaic panels with a unit capacity of 615 W.
The installation has been connected to the distribution grid as “Haldex PV Power Plant ZY 110” and, since the beginning of 2025,
has been producing energy for sale.
The investment site is a post-industrial area where mining activities had been carried out for many years.
Due to unstable ground – formerly a settling pond – it was necessary to carry out special preparatory works and use foundations
in the form of concrete piles about 1 meter long and over 0.5 meter in diameter.
This solution ensured a durable and safe foundation for the PV support structure and can be applied in similar geotechnical conditions.
In addition to the farm, Haldex also operates smaller photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of approximately 330 kW.
